‘Full’ Architect Services
We have worked on many private residential projects, a sample of which appear on this
website. We recognise that when working on your house it is to be your home, and we
must identify and incorporate your particular needs and aspirations in developing a
successful design solution. We always aspire to bring “something else” to the table, and
time-over our clients say we have delivered results that surprised them and exceeded their
expectations.
Typically our “full” services would comprise the following stages:
- make a measured scaled survey of the existing property
- develop a “client brief”; a list of your needs and aspirations
- develop initial design proposals & outline cost plan for discussion
- advice on legal requirements under building control regulations, and health & safety regulations
- develop the design proposals and prepare a planning application (where required)
- advise on tendering procedures and forms of building contract
- produce drawings, specifications and documentation for contractors to tender
- select a contractor & monitor construction of works on-site
- certify works in accordance with the contract and with building control regulation requirements
